PYC Fundraiser

Detroit, MI - September 2022

September 30th marked the first fundraiser for LC Racing. With over 30 attendants, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, we had plenty of entertainment, company, and conversation to make a great evening.

The host was Pontiac Yacht Club and the venue was their new Community Sailing School Center located in the suburbs of Detroit. Alongside a brief intro of our goals for the year, we had a silent auction highlighted by football tickets, liquor, and a F1 podium champagne by Ferrari. Auction profits were split between LC Racing and the High School Sailing program at PYC.

Reed and I had a great time at the event and were happy to see our journey has an impact outside of the range of the 49er community. This also served as a great learning opportunity for us - we quickly realized we should have posted our Instagram and Facebook everywhere and our donation information marked explicitly so everyone could donate on the spot. More importantly before they could sober up and regret it.
